Hello all, Theresa here. Just wanted to put an update, and some pictures, on my hubby's blog.This weekend we took our first road trip with Isabelle to George, Iowa to visit Sean's side of the family. What we expected from Belle didn't come to be - each time she gets into her car seat she has a complete meltdown where nothing can calm her down - not a pacifier, finger, loud music, soft music, toy, talking...there have been random moments where she has shown hope and has gone 10 minutes without crying but, it usually doesn't last long and leaves us wondering if we have the one in a million who hates car rides.
Well, needless to say an hour and a half road trip one way was quite the adventure and we were surprised when Belle slept the whole way to George. All Sean and I could do was sit in silence and raise our eyebrows at eachother as if to say, 'what the heck!?' God answered our prayers.
We had a wonderful time with the Krugers, going to Mikelle soon-to-be-Kruger's bridal shower, and visiting Grandma Vagts. We knew that even if Belle screamed the whole way there, the picture above and below would be worth all the ear-numbing cries. Thankfully though, God poured His grace on us and Belle slept all the way to George and, yes...all the way home!
We're home!!! I'll wake up and just stare at Mommy to make her giggle."Didn't think I could do it, huh Mom? Always keeping you on your toes."
