Just my two cents, take it or leave it.
I'm encouraging everyone to vote. But, I'm encouraging them to vote "Third Party". Think of it as a vote of protest, a vote as "none of the above", or whatever. Do yourself a favor and check out the other candidates out there. A lot of you Republicans might just be surprised how Libertarian you really are. Some of you Democrats would be surprised how much you agree with Ralph Nader.
Don't think of it as a wasted vote. Voting for the lesser of two evils is like trying to pick a winner. Voting third party is letting them know that you want more and better options.
As a side note, I have patients tell me very frequently how they are moderates in many issues. They feel like the two parties are becoming more and more polarizing and that they aren't looking out for the majority's best interest. I've met very few people who are truly down the line one way or the other.
Just wanted to let you all know that you don't have to throw your vote away for one of the two main parties. There are more options. Just my two cents.
