I have to set this one up, otherwise you just won't get the full effect. And I have the feeling that you possibly just had to be there, but its worth a try anyway.
The setting is that we were on our way home today from a family function. Rese has been doing well lately with the pregnancy, but she still gets overstimulated at times - along with hunger, bladder, sleeping, and those other issues that go along with being preggo. We had been driving for a little bit when I squeezed her hand and said, "How ya doing babe?"
She, very casually and without hesitation, replies, "In what way, I'm multifaceted."
I hope you can know Rese and I well enough to know how hard I laughed for the next couple minutes. She's right, you surely know. It is just that she said it "off the cuff", and her tone was very mellow. Just now I'm realizing that this might just not seem all that funny to you. Maybe that's a sign that I need to go to bed. But the flip side is that this is also when I happen to be at my creative peak. So, you can see the situation I'm in...yeah, I probably should just call it a night. Thanks for humoring me.
